At Tempur Sealy, one of our guiding principles is “We care about each other, and we do the right thing.” Living by this philosophy, we make a conscious effort to give back, extend a helping hand when needed, and spread hope through philanthropic partnerships.

At the beginning of 2020, Tempur-Pedic had the privilege of donating mattresses and adjustable bases to two disabled soldiers and their families at the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, TX. We also provided mattresses to more than 100 Purple Heart recipients at this event. The gift of transformative sleep is our way of saying thank you for the brave sacrifices these men and women have made for our country. In the same spirit, Operation Shut Eye honors our Special Operations Forces’ veterans. In 2019, we donated over 10,000 mattresses to these heroes.

Another organization we’re proud to partner with is the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN). This organization helps pancreatic cancer patients receive more effective and personalized treatment and equips them with the best resources to fight this deadly disease. We’ve collaborated with PanCAN both financially and through social media campaigns. In 2020 alone, we donated $200,000 to this incredible cause. Using the hashtag #PanCanProgress, we also raised awareness for pancreatic cancer research and encouraged others to share their personal stories.

While partnering with organizations across the country remains near to our heart, there’s something extra special about helping out close to home. Recently, we committed to pledge $2 million to establish the Tempur Sealy Pediatric Sleep Center in our home state at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital. You can read more about this milestone here.

Finally, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in many ways. Although some have been able to return to a sense of “normalcy,” supply chains are still severely affected and others in need are still hurting. By donating mattresses to homeless shelters and hospitals across the country, we help support the most vulnerable populations during this trying time.
